Debt Glossary - Administration Orders
A Debt Administration Order is a County Court process which allows an individual with minor debts to pay off what they owe. Debt repayments are made directly to the court who administer the order and distribute the payment to the individuals creditors.
To qualify for an Administration Order a person must owe less than £5000 in total and also must have received a County Court Judgement (CCJ). Applications are made directly to the court to whom the individual must demonstrate that they are unable to repay their debts. The court will then make an order based upon what the person can resonably afford on their current income. The order will state the amount to be payed each month and for how long the arrangement will last.
